About this instrument

The Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI) is a self-reflection measure designed to explore experiences associated with burnout in the workplace.

This assessment measures two main dimensions:

Exhaustion , which refers to physical, emotional, and mental fatigue related to work demands.

Disengagement , which refers to a tendency to distance oneself emotionally from work, experience reduced interest, or develop increasingly negative attitudes toward one’s job.

The OLBI consists of 16 statements covering both positive and negative work experiences. The results may help you recognize patterns in your current condition and identify areas that may require further attention.

This assessment is not a diagnostic tool and cannot determine whether someone is experiencing a psychological disorder or clinical burnout. The results should be understood as preliminary information for personal reflection.

What it reflects on

  • Work Exhaustion
  • Work Engagement
